The World @ Risk Documentary
We live in and share a “world at risk”... over population, environmental emergencies, famine and poverty on scales reaching immeasurable proportions.
World At Risk looks to uncover - acknowledge and examine all the problems we share and the solutions we seek.
The Doomsday Clock is a symbol that represents the likelihood of a man-made global catastrophe. Maintained since 1947 by the members of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, the Clock is a metaphor for threats to humanity from unchecked scientific and technical advances.
The clock started out at 11:53 p.m. and over the years has shifted backwards and forwards as the global situation has worsened or improved. But on January 2022 the clock was moved closer to midnight than at any other time in its near 75-year lifetime..
The Vision
This film, will be our call to action to address some of the most pressing concerns facing the world today. This film will be an examination and talking point, for what we hope will be a global think tank that sparks initiative to address the decaying state of humanity.
About The Film Makers
MARCUS WARREN
As a life long film-maker, I undertook a very special project several years ago, that saw me travel to some of the most inhospitable parts of the world. Ravaged by war, struck by poverty and choked by environmental collapse. Witnessing these emergencies first hand, compelled me to devote my time to making a change. Given my experience and newly developed relationships and resources around the world - I am taking it upon myself to take action, using the skills and assets at my disposal. I think this is something we can all evaluate in our own way, and I invite anyone reading this to join in our mission, to shape and enact meaningful longterm change to the problems we share on global proportions.
